Surrounded by the fells and sheep of The Lake District, Nico Fortier designs and crafts innovative furniture and lighting. Drawing inspiration from the vast landscapes around him as well as past and present architecture and design, Studio Fortier meticulously crafts unique pieces that harmonize form and function.
With ten years of experience as a woodworker and designer, Nico is always ready for the next challenge. Some of his past experiences include apprenticing under a furniture maker in his home city of Toronto, renovating a vintage Airstream trailer, running a small custom furniture business in Toronto, and intensive tuition from the Unplugged Woodshop and the Waters & Acland Fine Furniture School.
Nico specialises in bespoke commissions, working with clients to achieve timeless and personalized designs. Studio Fortier offers a small line of original designs made to order, customizable upon request.
